Special Issue of China International Import Expo Focused on Longkou Development Zone

On November 6th, the second day of the 6th China International Import Expo, the International Business Daily featured an article titled 'Longkou Economic Development Zone: Initiating Rapid Development' in the 'Special Edition of the 6th China International Import Expo.' The article focused on the practices and experiences of the development zone in promoting high-quality development. In particular, the article highlighted Dawn's innovative 'path' and achievements in establishing a world-class green, low-carbon, and high-end new material manufacturing base.

According to reports, Longkou Economic Development Zone was established in 1992 with the approval of the People’s Government of Shandong Province. It is the core sector and main position of Longkou City's economic development. "The infrastructure in the zone is complete, with ports, railways, highways, national highways, oil and gas pipelines, etc. forming a large collection and distribution channel coordinated by land and sea." The article pointed out that the development zone highlighted the development of high-end chemicals, auto parts, clean energy, offshore equipment, grain and oil processing and other key industries.

In recent years, leveraging institutional and mechanism reforms as a catalyst, Longkou Economic Development Zone has activated vitality, increased momentum, and tapped into its potential. Its ranking in the comprehensive development level evaluation of Shandong Development Zone continues to move forward. Ranked 17th in 2022, its comprehensive strength continues to lead among the provincial development zones in Yantai City. It was awarded the title of National Green Industrial Park, Shandong Province's "Double Recruitment and Double Attraction" characteristic park, and was selected into the "Top 100 High-Quality Development List of Provincial Development Zones in China".

The Longkou New Materials Science and Technology Industrial Park, constructed and managed by Dawn Group, is located in the northeast part of Longkou Economic Development Zone, with a planned area of 23.5 square kilometers. 'Dawn has invested heavily in turning the formerly garbage-strewn, sewage-filled, weed-covered, desolate and abandoned subsidence into an ecological economic park with clear lakes, singing birds, fragrant flowers, and numerous factories.' After providing an overview of Dawn Group, the article specifically detailed the integration and development of 'two ecologies.'

Green and low-carbon practices form the distinct foundation for high-quality development. Now, Dawn has several core products that have entered the international competitive stage, including environmentally friendly products like Thermoplastic Elastomers (TPV), Hydrogenated Nitrile Rubber (HNBR), biodegradable materials (PBAT), and other 'green and low-carbon' options. Presently, with two nationally recognized green factory demonstration enterprises, one nationally recognized green design product, and a steadily improving level of green manufacturing, Dawn has contributed significantly to the creation of a national green industrial park in Longkou Economic Development Zone.

From subsided land to a modern industrial park, from chain development to industrial aggregation, and from new materials to green, low-carbon, high-end products, Dawn Group will continue to build synergies between industries, create connections between products, and empower development between enterprises. The focus is on constructing an industrial chain, a product chain, and an enterprise chain with 'chain thinking,' to develop distinctive industrial clusters. Anchored by the 'Ten Thousand People, Hundred Billion Sales Volume' goal, Dawn Group is committed to building a world-class green, low-carbon, high-end new material manufacturing base
